Today Paul and I participated in Groundspeak's 10 years of geocaching anniversary celebration. All we had to do was log a find on 10/10/10. "Easy" thought I. We started off quite well. We found the information we needed at the first of two BBS (big box stores). We traversed to the opposite end of the parking lot and found the information we needed at the second of two BBS. But then when we entered the new coordinates into the GPS, we ended up driving about a mile away from the two BBS. That didn't seem right. When in doubt, double check your work. Aha! A miscalculation.
We drove back to the 2BBS and located where we thought the cache would be. Curses - foiled again! It was a busy Sunday afternoon and many a muggle was to be found. We had to come back later, which we did and found the cache. We each have our own Geocaching account so we each logged the find. Here's to ten years!
